LONGLEAT 10K & 2 MILER

10am JANUARY 28, 2024

If you want to take a look at what it is like to run the LONGLEAT 10k then take at this video put together by Gary MacAlister. Always a pleasure to have people like Gary come along and run the race, so this is a really good chance to get an inside view of the race through the eyes of independant runner.

We have been organising the Longleat 10K for over 10 years and it is one of our favourite races to organise. Run on the rolling hills  of Longleat Safari Park, this is a one of a kind type of race!

If you're looking for a traffic-free 10K in a stunning setting, then look no further than the Longleat 10K; starting in front of the magnificence of Longleat House the race takes in the estates' private roads, with only a short excursion of 400m on public highways as you pass the Bath Arms Public House before the final mile downhill to the finish.

ABOUT LONGLEAT SAFARI PARK

In 1949, Longleat House became the first privately owned stately home to open to the public commercially. But its history extends much further back. Built between 1567 and 1580, it has been lived in by sixteen generations of the Thynn family. Today it is the family home of the 8th Marquess and Marchioness of Bath.

Did you know that Longleat was the first Safari Park to open outside of Africa in 1966? Home to over 120 species, you can see the amazing animals by car, foot, train, bus and boat. Obviously you can not see the animals during race day as the safari park will be closed in preparation for it's opening weekend, just a week later!
